Our diagnostic examination methods in endocrinology
Depending on the clinical picture, targeted treatment is used:<\/p>

  • Ultrasound diagnostics of the abdominal organs, thyroid gland, echocardiography of the heart if necessary<\/li>
  • X-ray diagnostics of the skeletal system including the chest organs<\/li>
  • Bone density measurement with DEXA (on the lumbar spine, hip, also after endoprosthetic treatment)<\/li>
  • Internal diagnostics using Doppler sonography of the brain and limb vessels, ECG<\/li>
  • Endocrinological hormone and metabolism speciality laboratory<\/li><\/ul>

    Our examination methods emphasise the importance of checking the various hormonal disorders. As a rule, blood and\/or urine are analysed in our specialist laboratory. In some cases, the patient is also given substances that have a stimulating or inhibiting effect on the hormonal control circuits, and imaging procedures are also used to better clarify the individual clinical pictures. Sonography takes centre stage here. If necessary, this is supplemented by scintigraphy, X-rays or computer tomography or magnetic resonance imaging.When diagnosing a bone density deficiency (osteoporosis), a bone density measurement can be carried out in our practice and the bone-building and bone-degrading metabolic parameters can then be determined in the blood and urine. Depending on the results of the examination, we discuss the necessary and optimal therapies with our patients.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Bone density measurement (Dexa osteodensitometry)<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>

    Bone density measurement can be used to assess the stability of the bone and the risk of fracture. The internationally recommended procedure for this is Dexa osteodensitometry. We can perform this procedure in our practice with a modern, fast and low-radiation device and offer it to you.<\/p>

    The target group includes women in\/after the menopause, patients before and during treatment with cortisone, patients with bone fractures, patients with allergies and intolerances to dairy products or intestinal diseases, cases of osteoporosis in the family and for monitoring the progress of previously diagnosed osteoporosis. Patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases in particular are more likely to suffer from osteoporosis<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    PSA \/ free PSA \/ tumour marker<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

    The prostate-specific antigen is a tumour marker and can be used to identify cancer of the prostate (prostate gland) in men at an early stage. Annual checks are advisable. The ratio of free PSA to total PSA can give an indication of the probability of a malignant change in the prostate.     Hormones<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

    Metabolism<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

    Monitoring blood levels of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism is important in order to recognise patients at risk of arteriosclerosis and diabetes mellitus at an early stage. It is now known that patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases, in particular patients with rheumatoid arthritis, are just as likely to suffer a heart attack as patients with diabetes. It is therefore important to recognise risk factors in lipometabolism and sugar metabolism.<\/p>\n

    In our laboratory, we can determine subgroups of blood lipids (e.g. \u2018good\u2019 and \u2018bad\u2019 cholesterol) as well as sugar metabolism parameters (HbA1c and adiponectin) in order to monitor your current metabolic situation and assess your risk of developing such diseases.<\/p>\n

    Leistungen in der Endokrinologie Unsere diagnostischen Untersuchungsmethoden in der EndokrinologieJe nach Krankheitsbild wird gezielt eingesetzt: Ultraschalldiagnostik der Bauchorgane, der Schilddr\u00fcse, ggf. Echokardiographie des Herzens R\u00f6ntgendiagnostik des Skelettsystems einschlie\u00dflich der Brustorgane Knochendichtemessung mit DEXA (an der Lendenwirbels\u00e4ule, H\u00fcfte, auch nach endoprothetischer Versorgung) Internistische Diagnostik mittels Dopplersonographie der Hirn- und Extremit\u00e4tengef\u00e4\u00dfe, EKG Endokrinologisches Hormon- und Stoffwechsel-Speziallabor \u00a0 Unsere Untersuchungsmethoden legen Wert darauf, die verschiedenen hormonellen St\u00f6rungen zu \u00fcberpr\u00fcfen. In der Regel werden Blut und\/oder Urin in unserem Speziallabor untersucht. Teilweise erh\u00e4lt der Patient auch Substanzen, die auf die hormonellen Regelkreise stimulierend oder hemmend wirken.Um die einzelnen Krankheitsbilder besser abzukl\u00e4ren, werden auch bildgebende Verfahren eingesetzt. Im Vordergrund steht hier die Sonographie. Wenn notwendig wird dies durch eine Szintigraphie, R\u00f6ntgen oder Computertomographie beziehungsweise Kernspintomographie erg\u00e4nzt. Bei der Diagnostik eines Knochendichtemangels (Osteoporose) kann in unserer Praxis eine Knochendichtemessung durchgef\u00fchrt und anschlie\u00dfend im Blut und im Urin die Knochen aufbauenden und Knochen abbauenden Stoffwechselparameter bestimmt werden.Abh\u00e4ngig von den Untersuchungsergebnissen besprechen wir mit unseren Patienten die f\u00fcr sie notwendigen und optimalen Therapien. Individuelle Gesundheitsleistungen (IGeL) Knochendichtemessung (Dexa-Osteodensitometrie) \u00dcber die Knochendichtemessung kann die Stabilit\u00e4t des Knochen und das Risiko, einen Knochenbruch zu erleiden, abgesch\u00e4tzt werden. Das international daf\u00fcrempfohlene Verfahren ist die Dexa-Osteodensitometrie. Dieses Verfahren k\u00f6nnen wir in unserer Praxis mit einem modernen, schnellen und strahlungsarmen Ger\u00e4t durchf\u00fchren und Ihnen anbieten. Zielgruppe sind dabei Frauen in\/nach den Wechseljahren, Patienten vor und unter einer Behandlung mit Cortison, Patienten mit Knochenbr\u00fcchen, Patienten mit Allergien und Unvertr\u00e4glichkeiten gegen\u00fcber Milchprodukten oder Darmerkrankungen, F\u00e4lle von Osteoporose in der Familie und zur Verlaufskontrolle bei schon vordiagnostizierter Osteoporose. Besonders Patienten mit entz\u00fcndlich rheumatischen Erkrankung erleiden vermehrt eine Osteoporose PSA \/ freies PSA \/ Tumormarker Das Prostata-spezifische Antigen ist ein Tumormarker und kann genutzt werden, um den Krebs der Prostata (Vorsteherdr\u00fcse) bei M\u00e4nner fr\u00fchzeitig zu identifizieren. J\u00e4hrliche Kontrollen sind sinnvoll. Das Verh\u00e4ltnis von freiem PSA zu gesamten PSA kann eine Aussage \u00fcber die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer b\u00f6sartigen Ver\u00e4nderung der Prostata machen. Wenn Sie eine Bestimmung von PSA, freiem PSA oder anderer Tumormarker w\u00fcnschen, sprechen Sie uns an. Hormone Wenn Sie Bestimmungen der weiblichen oder m\u00e4nnlichen Sexualhormone oder deren Vorstufen wie DHEA als individuelle Gesundheitsleistung w\u00fcnschen, k\u00f6nnen wir diese in unserem Labor f\u00fcr Sie bestimmen. Stoffwechsel Die Kontrolle der Blutwerte des Fettstoffwechsels und des Kohlenhydratstoffwechsels ist wichtig, um Risikopatienten f\u00fcr Arteriosklerose und Diabetes mellitus fr\u00fchzeitig zu erkennen. Es ist mittlerweile bekannt, dass Patient mit entz\u00fcndlich-rheumatischen Erkrankungen insbesondere Patienten mit einer rheumatoiden Arthritis, genauso h\u00e4ufig an einem Herzinfarkt erleiden k\u00f6nnen wie Patient mit Diabetes. Entsprechend wichtig ist die Erkennung von Risikofaktoren im Fettstoffwechsel und Zuckerstoffwechsel. In unserem Labor k\u00f6nnen wir Untergruppen der Blutfette (zum Beispiel „gutes“ und „schlechtes“ Cholesterin), aber auch Gr\u00f6\u00dfen des Zuckerstoffwechsels (HbA1c und Adiponectin) bestimmen, um Ihre aktuelle Stoffwechselsituation zu kontrollieren und Ihr Risiko f\u00fcr die Entwicklung derartiger Krankheiten abzusch\u00e4tzen.
